ScanLab Overview
ScanLab is a complete lab management system utilizing portable data collection to track lab samples, put away and pull of samples, patient and study information. With ScanLab’s ease-of-use, you can collect patient and sample information with the terminal or from the desktop. The functionality of ScanLab allows you to keep concise records of where your samples are located, test results for each sample, patient data, and even query the sample database to generate pick lists.
Key Features:
Study Screen
Information to gather as to the demographic or permissions for gathering information as to the procedures that the patient is involved with. A specific "Study Screen" is used to create the study and record any consent questions that may be required for the particulars in any given study.
Patient Screen
This is where you manage information that relates to an individual patient. Input any patient information that may need to be available for reviewing including demographic information, medical history, any approvals for any type of samples or specimens that made need to be collected and any studies that the patient may be a part of.

Sample Information View
In this area, any study that a patient is part of, can be viewed. For example; sample data collection information, the study that the sample is associated with, Lab processing used to create aliquots, and any lab testing results.

Adding a Sample
During the process of adding a sample, the system can produce a unique ID with an associated barcode or use existing pre-printed unique barcode labels. After having a barcode associated to a sample, a handheld terminal can be used to out the sample away and record the location.
The system can generate a unique id and print a label or you can use existing pre-printed unique barcode labels. A hand held barcode terminal can be used to put-away the samples and record their location.
Locations
At the box level you can see a top down view of your stored samples. After being stored and recorded, the user is able to see a tree view of all of the parent-child relationships of the study samples.
Track your Samples - Graphically
Graphically view samples and locations from samples screen. Lab technicians can easily generate aliquots and labels from the parent samples. Patient Consent questions and Sample Test Results are displayed for quick reference.
Query View
Easy-to-use query screen allows for searching samples based on multiple criteria. Query results can be loaded to portable unit for picking or exported to an Excel or CSV file for further analysis.

Bar Code Labels, create 1D and 2D bar code labels that fit virtually any size sample, made to last in -80 degree freezers
Security
ScanLab security allows for multiple users and user groups. Each user and group can exist with a different set of user rights. This security module allows for confidential information such as patient data to only be viewed by select personnel.
