Labeling in the Lab

Some ten years ago, BSN medical purchased scanning and barcoding equipment from ScanOnline. After receiving excellent service and response from the company, Doug Robinson, SAP analyst, tells us ScanOnline  “grew from a vendor to a partner."

And just a few years ago, BSN, an international company which specializes in casting and splinting supplies, traditional wound care, bandaging and compression therapy, had come to a critical point in their labeling process, and needed to enhance their entire labeling operation. When at one time three different labels were needed on specific products, now only one is maintained. The solution even works for the unique labeling requirements at their operations in Mexico.

And when their facility in Conover, NC moved, Doug called on ScanOnline for the site surveys he knew they would need for a seamless data and equipment transfer as well as integration with new equipment.  “ScanOnline helped us standardize our wireless infrastructure in all four facilities  – three in the U.S. and one in Mexico, ” Doug recalls.  “And currently we are involved with them in mapping a good solution for all our facilities, including four in Europe. ”

“ScanOnline many times will allow us 30-day product demos, which is very helpful to us. We liked one particular small mobile device so much that we now use them in numerous situations in our day-to-day operations. Other times, if it doesn ’t work out, we can give ScanOnline our feedback why. We have a real partnership with them. ”

Doug continues,  “I tell my directors that we may be able to buy stand-alone equipment somewhere else, but we can ’t find a company that will give us the service that ScanOnline does. I can pick up the phone, tell them our problem and they will help me on the spot. They are very responsive, and that means a lot when you are moving small, individual medical products all over the world. ”
